BREAKING: Biden Is Rolling Out Sanctions Against Russia…He Just Poked Putin

Not that Russia has ever done the U.S. any huge favors, but at least we’ve remained on friendly enough terms with them to avoid any trouble. The past four years have seen a calming peacefulness between two world powers like never before seen. But things are different now. There’s a new sheriff in town, and his name is Joe Biden.

Biden has been quick to place sanctions on particular Russian businesses and some of their government officials. This was done as payback for the poisoning of Putin’s political rival, Alexei Navalny, who was subsequently tossed in the slammer for daring to oppose Putin.

The identity of the Russian officials involved has not yet been publicly released. The Biden administration, citing the U.S. Chemical and Biological Weapons Control and Warfare Elimination Act as justification, sanction 14 businesses. It is believed that the majority of these businesses are producing biological and chemical warfare agents.

U.S. intelligence experts claim Navalny was administered a homegrown nerve agent known as Novichok by Russia’s Federal Security Service. These are only the first of many sanctions to follow. An administration official said they are about to “respond to a number of destabilizing actions.” The official spoke under conditions of anonymity.

Donald Trump played Putin like a puppet, even allowing Putin to believe he had the upper hand. It was pure genius. Biden…eh…not so much. Joe Biden has made no bones about how he plans on going after Putin hot and heavy. It’s the Democrat way. They enjoy the profits of war.

Leave it tothe Biden Administration to not act on anything alone. His administration felt the need for coordinating the sanction efforts with the European Union. A few nations have already placed sanctions over the poisoning, but they only picked on a very small number of Russian officials who they were certain had involvement.

The EU has fallen under criticism for not taking strong enough action, but with pressure from Biden mounting, they’re stepping up their game plans and Putin is probably getting pissed. Navalny is the only real threat to Putin’s legacy.

The previous EU sanction only came in the form of a travel ban for four top Russian officials, in addition to freezing their European assets. They are head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, Russia’s Prosecutor General, Igor Krasnov, head of the Russian National Guard, Viktor Zolotov, and Alexander Kalabloc, head of the Federal Prison Service.

Rolling out sanctions against Russia should come as no surprise, the Biden administration has been saying all along how they are about to clamp down hard on the nation. They are also planning on retaliating for the huge Russian cyberattack against federal government agencies and major businesses in the U.S. in which sensitive information was obtained.

There’s an old saying about choosing your battles wisely. Interfering in the governmental business of another nation, poison or no poison is not a wise decision. What happens in Russia needs to stay in Russia. Donal Trump understood this and we never had any problems out of Putin.

But now Obama’s proxy is running the show. Tough times ahead.
