Pedophile Jeffrey Epstein might be pushing up daisies, but his legacy is alive and running scared. While his right-hand lady, Ghislaine Maxwell, remains tucked securely in her Brooklyn prison cell, the focus as of late has been on Epstein’s long-time royal pal Prince Andrew who’s unsuccessfully tried every move in the playbook to squeeze out his past escapades. Until now. His attorney just busted a new move.
Prince Andrew scurried off to his mamma’s well-guarded castle in Scotland, complete with a moat, to avoid being served with a lawsuit. He’s been accused by one of Epstein’s former sex slaves, Virginia Giuffre, of profusely perspiring all over her naked body on more than one occasion when she was still but a young underage lass.
He wasted gas since his trick didn’t work and he’s now been successfully served. But alas, after all of this time, Andrew and his attorney found a new hand to play. Still, it remains to be seen whether they’re holding an ace or a joker.
Once upon a time, there was an agreement. “There has been a settlement agreement that the plaintiff has entered into in a prior action that releases the Duke and others from any and all potential liability,” said the royal’s attorney Andrew Brettler. U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan has agreed to take a look at it even with his patience and tolerance having been already worn thin.
Giuffre’s attorney, David Boies, known well in legal circles, said the agreement is “irrelevant” to the case, but reluctantly agreed that the defendants had a right to submit it. It’s just buying more time to build a defense they don’t have.
In a letter dated Sept. 23, Boies wrote, “Although we believe that the release is irrelevant to the case against Prince Andrew, now that service has been accepted and the case is proceeding to a determination on the merits, we believe that counsel for Prince Andrew [sic] have a right to review the release and to make whatever arguments they believe appropriate based on it.”
Here’s where things become diabolical. The agreement Prince Andrew’s attorney wants to submit is tied up at the moment. Giuffre has another ongoing case against Alan Dershowitz, Epstein’s former attorney and Professor Emeritus at the prestigious Harvard School of Law, so it’s currently under a protective order.
Similar to Texas and Texas Tech on steroids, Dershowitz and Boies are fierce bloodthirsty rivals. Dershowitz has been accused by Giuffre of having more than his hand up her skirt, which prompted him to file a countersuit against Giuffre for defamation of character. He denies having ever touched Giuffre as a sweet young child. In a separate suit, he’s also going after Boies.
Everything that can be done to murk up the waters the prince and Dershowitz are hopelessly wading in is being done, despite the obviousness of their guilt-ridden reasons.
Boies went straight to Senior U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska. “Jeffrey Epstein’s Estate has now consented to Ms. Giuffre providing a copy of the confidential agreement at issue to Prince Andrew,” he told her. “We thus request permission from the Court pursuant to this Court’s Protective Order to furnish a copy of the release to Prince Andrew’s counsel.”
Giuffre was 17 when the alleged assaults occurred, and who knows what other names have yet to be revealed? Surely Prince Andrew and Dershowitz were not the young girls’ exclusive patrons. We want to know. Don’t you?
As a side note, whatever the agreement happens to say, it’s doubtful Giuffre’s signature will be anywhere to be found on it.
