Former President Donald Trump left Washington D.C. with no lack of fanfare on Wednesday prior to the inauguration of his successor, President Joe Biden. Trump announced days before that he did not plan to attend the event because he believed the election to have been fraudulent.
Trump’s departure from Andrews’ Air Force Base was broadcast for his many supporters to see, and that broadcast featured the same song that was played at his inauguration, Frank Sinatra’s iconic “My Way.”
The Trump theme tune was blaring over the speakers for all to hear, including the journalists commentating about the event that was taking place as the new administration was getting ready to take office.
Various media personalities seemed to be unable to contain their disgust for the president, even as he left their immediate per-view in a plane back to his home in Florida, making snarky comments about the president and their presumptions about the singer of his favored song.

“‘My Way’ by Frank Sinatra was played as Trump departed,” said NBC News “presidential historian” Michael Beschloss according to The Daily Wire. “Sinatra is on record as having hated Donald Trump.”
Beschloss’s comment stemmed from a book hawked by Santra’s former manager who wrote in 2017 that Sinatra once sent a message to Trump for him to go “f***” himself, The New York Daily News.
CNN, not be outdone, also carried video footage of the departure said, “Trump leaves on Air Force One to the Frank Sinatra song ‘My Way.’ This series finale of the Trump Reality Show has been written, directed and produced by Donald Trump himself.”

“Frank Sinatra’s ‘I DID IT MY WAY’ is blasting on the loudspeakers at Joint Base Andrews as Air Force One taxis for takeoff with Donald Trump aboard for his final flight as president,” wrote Washington Post columnist James Hohmann. “This feels like watching the closing credits of a movie. Dr. Strangelove comes to mind…”

“Utterly surreal. #Trump takes off to ‘My Way’ [CNN] & the world collapses in disbelieving laughter,” Anna Soubry said.

Vulture had a particularly interesting take on his departure saying, “… Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ [was] playing as Trump’s plane departed from the airfield. All three of these performers have previously expressed annoyance that Trump favors their catalogs, with two of these decrees coming from estates: Branigan’s management team has that it ‘vehemently’ dislikes its association with Trump, while Sinatra’s daughter Nancy that her dad ‘loathed’ him prior to his death.”
But wait, there’s more.
The publication went out of their way to take a jab at the president, saying, “The Village People, who are still active, have also asked Trump to cease playing gay anthem ‘Y.M.C.A.’ at numerous campaign events. ‘He’s changed it to M-A-G-A or something,’ one of the band members. We also would’ve accepted C-H-E-E-T-O.”
Overall, the media sent the former president to retirement the same way they treated him throughout his term in office: with blatant disrespect and disregard for someone elected by the people of the United States.
Clearly, those in the media don’t like him, and that’s between themselves and their network as to whether they voice those opinions. It is, however, between viewers and their checkbooks as to whether they allow those who would peddle disinformation into their homes over and over again.
Just an incredible segue. pic.twitter.com/EJgQQv3qzi

At the time of the inauguration, around half of all Americans believed that there was some form of voter fraud. What that form was, we don’t really know. Did more votes go to Biden? Possibly, but since we didn’t investigate, we don’t know. Did Trump actually win?
Maybe, but the point is that we don’t know, because half the nation believes the election was tampered with, and a good portion of those believe that Biden didn’t really win.
And if someone is in charge of the capital who we didn’t vote in, the capital has been captured. It’s likely something many would like to ignore in pursuit of their own personal gain (i.e. media personalities) but the fact remains: if someone takes over that you didn’t vote in, they captured the capital.
And thanks to the media, many people don’t know that.
